Supporting Young People Through Education
Since launching the China Education Project in 2003, the Culture Regeneration Research Society (CRRS) has supported students from rural and low-income families in China through educational sponsorship and other initiatives developed in response to changing needs.
Since 2003, the China Education Project has provided more than 20,000 instances of student sponsorship.
Over the past two decades, China’s social and educational landscape has changed, along with the needs of students and their families. CRRS has continued to adapt its educational work to changing circumstances, directing resources toward the practical needs students face today.
University Student Sponsorship
For many students from rural and low-income families, being admitted to university is an important beginning. Yet tuition, accommodation, meals, transportation and everyday living expenses can place significant financial pressure on their families.
CRRS provides educational sponsorship to university students, offering practical support during this important stage of their education.

Vocational High School Student Sponsorship
Vocational education enables young people to develop both knowledge and practical skills, building a foundation for further education, employment and personal development.
CRRS provides educational sponsorship to vocational high school students with financial needs, helping to ease some of the financial pressure they face while pursuing their studies.

More Than Two Decades of Educational Work
Over the years, the China Education Project has responded to changing educational needs through a range of initiatives, including sponsorship for primary and secondary students, support for rural teachers, improvements to school buildings and student dormitories, learning resources, and youth exchange programs.
Some of these initiatives have since completed their role. Together, they form an important part of the history of CRRS’s educational work over the past two decades.
