Project Shine Summer Trip

Project Shine Summer Trip (PSST) is a 2 week teaching English program conducted by Culture Regeneration Research Society Vancouver Head Office. Each summer, a group of Canadian youths (Vancouver & Toronto) travelled to Guangxi, to teach English to the school children in the rural areas, they provide an “English-learning and cultural-exchange” platform for both the youths in China and the youths from North America. Living in the rural area and spending time with the children became a memorable life experience for the Canadian youths.

Purpose of Project Shine Summer Trip

  • Provide a chance for the underprivileged students and teachers in China to learn proper English from North American teachers
  • Experience Chinese Culture, cross-cultural exchange
  • Enrich life experience, expand your worldview
  • Build confidence in leadership, teaching and public speaking skills
  • Increase English level of middle school students / teachers by means of: Verbal training, written English, listening skills, activities
  • Aside from teaching, we want to show care for Chinese students’ needs through love, hope and action
